Chicken Manchurian

Chicken Manchurian


Ingredients for the marinade:
2 chicken breasts - cut into bite sized pieces
2 tsp garlic paste
Half tsp black pepper powder
1 egg
2 tbsp corn flour
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp chilli sauce
Salt to taste

Ingredients for the gravy:
1 Knorr or Maggi chicken stock cube
2 tsp chopped fresh garlic
3 tbsp soy sauce
Half tsp chilli sauce
Half tsp black pepper powder
3 green chillies - cut length wise
1 green pepper - finely chopped
1 red onion - chopped into cubes
2 tbsp corn flour mixed in quarter cup of water
Half tsp - chilli flakes (optional)

Method:
Marinade the chicken pieces mixed with the remaining ingredients for half an hour. Deep fry the chicken until it turns golden brown.
Keep the fried chicken aside.

Method to prepare the gravy:
Heat 3-4 tbsp oil in a deep bottomed pan on medium heat. Fry the green chillies and garlic for 2-3 minutes and then add 2 cups of water. Now add the chicken stock cube, soy sauce, chilli sauce, black pepper powder and salt. Cook for 5-10 minutes and then add the fried chicken pcs to the gravy. Cook for an additional 10 minutes between low to medium heat. Then gently pour the mixed corn flour at intervals, stirring constantly.
Add the chopped green peppers and onions just 2 minutes before you take it off the stove.
Serve hot with fried rice or plain white rice!!!
